Recital Rehearsal

(Pre-rehearsal at home)

Katie's very 1st recital rehearsal was held this evening. She was very nervous and has been telling me for months that she didn't want to be in a recital. But for her it is all about the anticipation and not knowing what to expect.

She missed her first recital, which would have been last year this time at the Galveston Opera House because we moved 2 weeks before the date. So since that time she has been worried about what a recital would be like.
With a few tears and a little hesitation, and a kind and loving teacher, she got her game face on after about 30 seconds and smiled big for everyone. I am sure that tomorrow (the actual recital) will be even better!

So here are a few pictures of the ballerina. We aren't allowed to take pictures tomorrow, but we did today and got video too. They are really cute!!
She is dancing to "True Colors" by Cindi Lauper. So sweet!

A Sad Beginning

A sigh of relief and a big smile

Did somebody say something about being nervous??

Sometimes it just takes being on stage to get over those jitters! I love the outfits!

Congratulations, Katie!

Katie makes quite the pretty ballerina. I'm so glad she got over her stage fright and was able to enjoy her first recital!
